The masterplan for the Al Quoz Creative Zone has been authorized by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), which provides a thorough blueprint for expanding the community infrastructure, public services and spaces, and artistic ambience of the Zone over the next four years.
According to a statement from Dubai Culture, the project intends to provide a supporting ecosystem that makes it easier for creatives and entrepreneurs to go through all phases of the creative industry value chain, from design and implementation to distribution and marketing.
When it is finished, the Zone will rank among the largest creative communities in the world in terms of both total floor space and the volume of creative activity.
The master plan will guarantee the provision of 2,900 reasonably priced homes for creatives (with a capacity of more than 8,000 people) and sizable public areas created for hosting events and activities.
According to the statement, these public spaces will be highly interactive with distinctive entertainment activities and attractions situated outdoors and along pathways outfitted with entertainment and attractions, as well as public spaces for rest, recreation, social events, and artistic displays, and they will draw close to 33,000 visitors each day.
The master plan is to turn Dubai into a thriving center of culture and creativity that inspires locals and guests to participate in the arts and culture.
