Immersion4 Honored as Best Environmental and Sustainability Company at Prestigious Burj CEO Awards
Toronto, Canada – The 6th edition of the Burj CEO Awards celebrated exceptional entrepreneurs, humanitarians, and business leaders aboard a luxurious Mediterranean cruise from August 22 to 27, 2023. Sponsored by Go Turkiye and Stars on Board, this prestigious event, graced by Captain Doro Manzi of Norwegian Jade, recognized outstanding individuals and organizations across more than 50 categories.
One of the highlights of this year’s awards was the recognition of Immersion4 as the Best Environmental and Sustainability Company. Founded by Serge Conesa, this accolade solidified their commitment to environmental and sustainability initiatives.
The event also celebrated other notable winners from the UAE, including humanitarian activist Salam Hamzeh Ghaith, who won the Burj CSR Award for his work as President & Founder of the SmallWorld Foundation. Additionally, Afghanistan-born visionary Sayed Atiqullah Sadat Hofiani, President of Seyit Hofiani Jewellery LLC, was honored as the Award for Visionary Leader with a Heart of Gold recipient.
Dubai Duty Free earned recognition as the Best Global Duty Free company, and Senem Anataca, representing 180UTC, received the Coveted Women in Business Award for her contributions to the business world. Dr. Aftab Hasan, Chairman of Risk Exchange (DIFC) Limited and CEO of Arya Insurance, was named the Outstanding CEO of the Year.
Internationally, Walther Uzi E. Buenavista, Founder and CEO of The Shawarma Shack Fastfood Corporation, was honored with the Best Franchisee of the Year Award for his impressive network of over 750 branches in the Philippines.
Other international winners included Patrick Mensah, receiving the African CEO of the Year award for WallStreet Investment, and Afghanistan, which received the Smart Government of the Year award. Portugal Fine Arts, represented by Lady Ana Bela Resende, won the Best Art & Culture of the Year award.
Serenity Shield received the title of Best Technology Company, while Arjodita Mustali of VIGAN Group was presented with the Global Business Leader award. Turkiye was recognized as the Best Tourist Destination, and Business Link received the Best Business Setup Consultancy Company award.
Additional honorees included Diana Nitescu, The Visionary CEO of OctagonHUB, and the BURJ CEO Award for Business Leadership recipient, Nazih Antonios Moufarrej of Business Experts Gulf.
The event also featured awards such as the Enduring Legacy Achievement Award, presented in remembrance of Late. Z A Nizami, and the Innovation Tech CEO Award, which went to Adrian Li Mow Ching, CEO of Fx Technology. The RAF Global received the Global Humanitarian Foundation award, presented to CEO Dr. Rizwan Adatia, while the Middle East CEO of the Year award went to Dr. Assad Rayess of Edelweiss Maritime Management Services.
In addition to Immersion4 receiving the Best Environmental & Corporate Sustainability Company award, Shabbir Vakil, the CEO of Al Vakil Group, was honored with the Best HR Consultancy Company award. Huzaifa Sura of Crystal Corporation LLC received the Most Creative CEO of the Year award. Georgia Kartsanis, CEO Clubs Greece, won the Pioneer of the Year award, and Calico Biolabs received the Best Innovation Platform Award, with Reem Mahrat as CEO.
Daniel Nachmias earned the title of Commodity Trading Trailblazer of the Year, and the International Haute Couture Excellence Award was bestowed upon Grace E. Moon, CEO of Grace Moon Inspired. The Award for Asia Pacific CEO of the Year went to Sukh Sandhu, CEO of Career Calling International.
Nicholas N. Bouri of N.G.B Construction & Management received the Best Real Estate Developer of the Year 2023 Award, and Neelivethil Rajeev of ESPA (MENA) was presented with the Middle East CEO (MEP) Award. Benedicto Bena Nkhoma won the Best Coaching and Mentoring Award, and Wael L.Mirza of Iraqi Pharmaceutical Industry Co. was recognized as the Best Pharmaceutical & Biotech Company.
Mr. Ralph Clemens Martin of O! Millionaire was honored with the title of Outstanding CEO for Community Outreach & Sustainable Social Impacts, while Habila Malgwi, the CEO of Concordia Consultancies, received the Best Citizenship By Investment Company award. Romain Gerardin Fresse of GFK Middle East received the Middle East Outstanding Leader award, and Dorothy Pinyoloya of Goshen City won the Fastest Growing Company award, with CEO Brian Poe Llamanzares receiving the accolade.
The Start-Up Company of the Year Award was presented to Pedro Gameiro and Meenu Sasikumar of Gritseek Ventures Limited, a start-up enabler connecting entrepreneurs with investors. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Dr. William Wraith III, Chairman & CEO of The Wraith Group, Inc., and Co-Founder & Chairman Emeritus of Lyten, Inc. The Business Excellence Award for Women honored Nadira Iqbal’s Naddira Couture and Hothur Ispat from India Private Limited. In the creative sectors, Dalida Khalil won the Lebanese Actress Award.
Youssef Harb of Stars on Board was recognized as The Best Entertainment CEO, while the American CEO of the Year award went to Wael Salim Elhalawani, the CEO of Starbuzz. In the retail sector, Youssef Allahham of MAG Apparel USA INC received the Best Retail CEO of the Year award.
The Burj CEO Awards, often referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the business world, has a history of celebrating influential figures in global industry.
